I received my first camera, a Kodak 126 Instamatic, when I was 9 years old, leading to nearly 40 years (so far) of photography.
Growing up around aircraft - my father spent nearly 40 years at TWA - led to my love of aviation, and a stint in the Air Force flying the KC-135. The Instamatic gave way to a Yashica SLR and tons of slides that I am slowly starting to scan. A couple of years ago I made the jump to digital, and after a Kodak DX6490 and a Canon 300D, I now use a shiny, new Canon 30D.
These days I'm a long way from that old Instamatic, and have combined aviation and photography into an all-consuming hobby...many of my photos are aviation related, but you will find photos from around Long Island, New York City, and other exotic places. I'm always on the lookout for something different, so let me know what your favorite photography spot is.
Thanks for visiting - I hope you like what you see here, and come back again soon. I'm always adding something new.
